Residents of the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Brest ship their products to 55 countries around the world, Head of the FEZ Brest administration Vadim Kravchuk told BelTA.
The FEZ Brest is home to 75 resident companies, which have created more than 22,000 jobs. They produce a wide range of goods supplied to both the Belarusian and foreign markets. “We ship products to 55 countries worldwide. Recently, we have opened such markets as Bahrain, Jordan, Israel, and the UAE. Today we are working very actively with African countries, seeking out our consumers there,” Vadim Kravchuk said.
On 5 November, a plant to produce extruded aluminum profiles was inaugurated in Brest District within the FEZ. “The main consumers of this product will be companies that manufacture electrical equipment, household appliances, and machinery. The plant's management has already established contacts [with such companies]," the administration head noted. "We have provided a land plot, connected the necessary utilities, and built access roads. All conditions have been created for our resident company to implement its investment project and fulfill every aspect of its business plan."
According to Vadim Kravchuk, the FEZ Brest has enought plots with
utilities to organize production activities. “There are preferences
regarding customs duties and tax payments, and we are ready to provide
support with credit agreements. Currently, nine businesses are carrying
out construction projects. For example, a metal rolling plant is
scheduled to open right next door, and a production line for plastic
products is also being built,” he stressed.
