Belarus’ customs service signs five cooperation agreements in 2025

MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – In 2025, the State Customs Committee of Belarus signed five cooperation agreements, Chairman of the committee Vladimir Orlovsky said in an interview with the the First News TV Channel, BelTA has learned.

The agreements were concluded with India, Egypt, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan.

“The world is a vast place, and many countries wish to cooperate with ours in various ways. These agreements help to simplify the process of controlling our goods when they enter other countries. This makes the process go more quickly, which is beneficial. Those who wish to work with us and live in peace receive these benefits. Those who choose to isolate themselves have made that choice for themselves,” Vladimir Orlovsky said.

He also stressed that the Belarusian customs service processes around 4.5 million transactions annually, including with the use of artificial intelligence. In the future, an electronic border crossing checkpoint will also be introduced into customs operations. “There is no way forward without digitalization,” the chairman pointed out.
