MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) - Brest Oblast of Belarus has obtained a record-high grain harvest this year,
BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
“As of 29 August, Brest Oblast has threshed 1.5 million tonnes of grain for the first time in history, excluding corn and rapeseed. The increase compared to the final result of 2024 is already 187,000 tonnes,” the press service said.
The yield amounted to 45.1 centners per hectare, which is 7.8 centners per hectare more than in 2024. Eight districts of the region have threshed over 100,000 tonnes.
