GANTSEVICHI, 2 October (BelTA) – The implementation of a number of investment projects has taken Gantsevichi District to a higher level,
BelTA learned from Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi.
Dmitry Krutoi stressed that strong regions are a priority for developing the republic till 2030. The Gantsevichi District example shows how this priority is being implemented. The head of the Belarus President Administration recalled that ten years before the government had developed a program to support districts lagging behind in their development. There were two such districts in Brest Oblast, including Gantsevichi District.
“It objectively lagged behind the other districts of Brest Oblast. A number of measures were developed to bring Gantsevichi up to a higher and more decent level. I believe we have succeeded,” Dmitry Krutoi said. Concrete investment development plans were drawn up for this district in the Polesie area.
In particular, a major investment project has been implemented under the “One district – one project” program. “A biopharmaceutical plant has been built, which will become a good point of attraction. Many jobs have been created. The wages are decent. Today the district participates in the ‘Regional Initiative’. Several enterprises are implementing investment projects worth tens of millions of rubles. The town and the district are developing,” the head of the Belarus President Administration stressed. He added that industrial and agricultural enterprises demonstrate good dynamics.
Dmitry Krutoi took part in the ceremony to open a multifunctional sport complex in the town of Gantsevichi today. “I would like this facility to be in demand among young people, so that children can take a break from smartphones, tablets, computers, and other gadgets. As the president often says, we need to bring back the time when children spent most of their time outdoors, at sport facilities. Such facilities existed. Perhaps they were not as great as this one, but they helped raise physically fit boys and girls. This is also one of the main tasks,” the head of the Belarus President Administration concluded.
